MANDATORY PARENT/CHEERLEADER MEETING ON AUGUST 1, 2008 AT LEDYARD MIDDLE SCHOOL
PRACICES BEGIN ON AUGUST 4, 2008
PRACTICES THROUGH AUGUST ARE ON MONDAYS, TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS AND FRIDAYS FROM 5:30-7:30 P.M. OUTDOORS AT LEDYARD MIDDLE SCHOOL (WEATHER PERMITTING)
MANDATORY SIZING
May 31 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and June 3 from 6-8 p.m. These are the only TWO dates available. Cheerleaders MUST attend one of the two days in order to be eligible to participate in the season.
New Cheerleaders should plan to pay approximately $170.00 for their uniform package. Returning Cheerleaders should plan to pay for any items that need to be replaced from their past year package. SNEAKERS WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED.
Payment is due at time of sizing.
FUNDRAISERS
Ledyard Youth League Cheerleading Cookbook: Don't forget to add your favorite family recipes to our Ledyard Youth League Cheerleading Cookbook. The cookbook will be a big fundraiser for our league and its success depends on community participation. Please take the time to submit at least two recipes from your family. If you are not the chef in your family, ask a relative. A variety of recipes are needed to make this book a success. We think it will be awesome to see recipes from the Ledyard community and beyond. Please mail your recipe to Jen Egan at 19 Parkwood Drive, Gales Ferry 06335 or email to jenle27@hotmail.com. DEADLINE DATE HAS BEEN MOVED TO JUNE 10, 2008. Please participate. It only takes a few minutes to submit your recipe.
Car Wash: The Car Wash dates are July 19th, August 2nd, August 16 and August 30th. All car washes will be at KART-WAY on Route 12 in Gales Ferry, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Please call Jodi at 464-9934 to schedule a time to volunteer. ALL CHEERLEADERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND, SINCE THE MONEY RAISED WILL BE APPLIED TO FAIR ATTIRE. Items needed: sponges, towels and car soap.
Flip Flop/Slides: The order is going in for flip flops and slides. Pre-order to be sure that your size is ordered. The prices are $15 per pair or $25 for two (2) pair (mix and match). Call Jodi at 464-9934 to order. Payment is due at time of ordering. Checks can be made out to LYLC. ORDER TO BE PLACED IN EARLY JUNE.
BIRTH CERTIFICATES AND PHYSICALS
Birth Certificates and physicals are needed ASAP!!! Returning cheerleaders do not need to submit a birth certificate. Physicals cannot be over two years old (December 1, 2006). Physicals must be on the 2008 SNEYFC Form or the State of CT Form. Please call Jen Egan at 464-2734, if you should have any questions.
