DRAWING FOR BEGINNERS

“Learning to See”

Learning to look carefully at the world around you is an important skill, no matter what your profession.  Drawing is a good way to learn to pay attention to relationships, to perspective, to life! Anyone can learn to draw.  Try something new and give it a try.

INSTRUCTOR:  Richard (Whitey) Morane, Art teacher with 37 years of experience

Learning to draw is a very good way to learn to see and is useful for everyone, not just those who would be artists. Learning to see what is really in front of you is important for many parts of our lives, and drawing is perhaps the best way to develop this skill. This course will continue what was started in the Fall 2016 class, but is appropriate for anyone who is interested in sharpening their observational skills and becoming comfortable with simple drawing methods and materials. Students will be emailed a list of suggested materials before the first class but some will be provided so that we can all begin without delay.
