VISION STATEMENT
Residents and businesses recognize Ledyard Parks and Recreation as a leader and valued asset in the Town of Ledyard. The Department is committed to improving the quality of life of the citizens of Ledyard by providing a wide variety of high quality recreational programs and opportunities with safe athletic facilities and parks. The Department is to provide reasonably priced programs to all Ledyard citizens of all ages, in a safe, courteous, clean, comfortable and enjoyable family environment.
MAINTAIN THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF QUALITY AND SAFTEY IN CURRENT PROGRAMS AND FACILITY OPERATIONS THROUGH PROPER SUPERVISION WITH THE RESOURCES ALLOCATED EACH FISCAL YEAR.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Ledyard Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance the quality of life by providing safe and well-maintained parks and athletic facilities, a wide range of recreation programs for all ages by fostering a sense of community participation guaranteeing an opportunity for every resident to share in all programs and benefits the Parks and Recreation Department has to offer.
Our programs benefit INDIVIDUALS by providing the opportunity for better health, fitness, self-esteem and creative expression; the COMMUNITY through connected families, community pride through Town-wide programs; the ECONOMY through enhanced land values, reduced health care costs and reduced crime.
